I do recommend buying an SD card for the music.I have not had any problems with the battery life I can go up to 2 to 3 days without charging before the batt. Sending pics is no problem, receiving some pics is frustrating you have to 'open' the file to view it others u can view right away. It lets you set the round key pad to the settings you want like txt msg, calendar, alarms, its fast short cut keys make it convenient instead of navigating thru the menu. I did learn that if you're talking on the phone u can hit that button to text, web, access the music player, or games, without having to hang up. I have dropped this phone on more than one occasion and its very durable no scratches. The only con I found is the echoing of background noise you can hear everything going on in the background and its hard to hear the person talking.
Another cool feature that I really didn't like at first was the 'side menu' function on the side of the phone. I have used the camcorder and u can landscape the image. MP3, cell video, camera, video recorder, xm radio, u can even record audio or video up to 5 min. That prevents any buttons or media to be activated if its in ur pocket.
Otherwise, it is a great phone with alot of options. Another thing I dislike is if you have a missed call, text, or voicemail, it has the same alert tone. The sound quality is good u can set recorded audio as a ringtone or alarm. Its an awesome phone it has alot of features on it.
starts to blink. Although when it is on silent mode the vibration is hard to feel or hear. It's nice feature you can talk and text at the same time. So you can't distinguish the difference.
I've had this phone for about 2yrs. It has a 'lock & unlock' safety feature it ask you if u want to lock it yes or no, if you take too long or forget it automatically locks it. The camera takes good pictures in a well lighted area.
It's dumb, and there's nothing you can do about it. When it comes to live sets, podcasts and audiobooks this is an absolute nightmare, alleviated only slightly by the player's ability to jump to a specific track time, provided you memorize the time at which you've paused the track every time you do so. - There is a strange error in which the track is restarted over and over with tracks longer than 30 mins once you've passed a certain point and paused. Once you've started a track and paused it, to hide the player or take a call or whatever, you have to keep it in music player mode to keep your spot. "If I Survive" needs to become something like "02 If I Survive" if you want it played in the right order).- When the battery is low the music player is disabled.- It features Samsung's infuriating proprietary port that prevents you from charging and listening at the same time.As a side note, none of these issues occur in Sony's Walkman Phone line, but each features an even more flawed proprietary charger/headset port whose tendency to become loose or just break make this phone, I'm sad to say, a superior music phone. If you choose to hide the player, therefore, it had better be for only a short time, and you can't do anything with the phone but play music without hiding the player.
- You have to edit the tags of all mp3s before loading them so that the actual song name is precluded by its corresponding track number (i.e. I have never seen this issue mentioned anywhere on the internet, which is amazing to me, considering the handicap the music player in this phone imposes on you. If you return to normal mode for too long, leave the phone open for too long, or stay on a call for too long, the music player turns off and you have to start from the beginning of the track. So there, those two or three other people issuing one fruitless google search after another have something to click on and be subsequently disappointed by.ALSO.
The battery life is decent, not amazing but it was my favorite phone. For example, in my room I always get full service, and yet sometimes when I make calls they never go through. I know the whole process of getting signal to a cell phone, but it shouldn't be on and off. It was perfectly fine for about a month, then all of a sudden my phone wouldn't function right.I'm not sure if it's because I dropped the phone - I won't lie it might be because of it. And my phone says there is no service, when I know there is because I have made calls before.
There's a certain way I have to plug it in, I've never had problems with it before which struck me as odd.The reception is really odd most of the time. Also getting reception was very hard to find in places where it should be easy. but now I have to tough it out until my plan expires until I can get a new one. But overall the phone has been great to me. It's pretty bulky though. In order for me to know whose calling me, I have to leave my phone open all the time.I charge my phone pretty much every night and sometimes while it's charging, it will just stop. At first the phone was great I didn't have to charge it much at all.
I've been pretty careful with it around, but I dropped it once while I was standing up - a decent distance from the ground. Sometimes my calls don't go through and take me to voice mail when the other person's phone is on. The camera is decent, but the sound quality is pretty horrible. There's always a buldge when I place it in my pocket. I've had this phone for over a year now - it will be 2 years in December. But all of a sudden, when I close my phone there is no display anymore. It just goes haywire and tells me there is no reception.
Here is a list:* The keypad is too small. I'm willing to pay the full price on another cellphone than be forced to use the A737 for any longer. What is wrong with this phone. Do yourself a favor - DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PHONE. This phone, without a doubt, is the single most worthless and frustrating cellphone I have every owned. I've had it for a year now - waiting for my next upgrade option with AT&T - but I simply cannot continue to use this horrendous phone. You will mis-dial or mis-text when using it.* There is no one button camera operation.* The camera has HORRIBLE resolution - practically worthless* There are NO games pre-loaded, as are in many other models.* Call reception is horrible - there is a distinct echo and the caller's voice sounds metallic* The screen's backlight will engage when any button is pushed - which, if you keep the phone in your pocket, will happen so often the battery will die very quickly* The battery has a very short life - you will have to keep a charger handy (in the car, at home and the office)In all, this is an over-priced, over-hyped piece of trash build by Samsung who, usually, builds quality products.
Forget it, buy something worth the money. Too bad. I know nothing like this could have happened since I'm not prone to keeping industrial sized objects in my purse that could possibly "press" against the phone screen. They call it "damaged". I'm very careful with my phone and keep it in a separate pocket in my bag.
The fatal D word. I found many places on line that all say they've experience the same problem. It's padded and has kept my past phones perfectly safe. I bought this phone less than 60 days ago and it's broken. I was told today that something in my bag must have "pressed" against the screen causing damage.
If this happens to you, they won't replace or fix it, even under warranty.
